What is
Transcendental Meditation is a simple technique practised 20 minutes twice a day while sitting comfortably.
It is not a religion, philosophy, or lifestyle. Over six million people of all ages, cultures and religions have learned TM.
TM's scientifically proven health benefits
Hundreds of published research studies on the TM technique have documented its effectiveness on stress and anxiety, brain function, cardiovascular health and more
What happens when you meditate?
The TM technique allows your mind to easily settle inward, until you experience the most silent and peaceful level of your own awareness. It is completely different as it involves no concentrating or focusing, no trying to "empty the mind".

Chris Black & Norma Fonseca
Chris and Norma came to Sierra Leone in February 2020 to teach Transcendental Meditation to students and teachers as part of a school project in Freetown.
Norma learned TM while working as part of a fund management company in Scotland. Her success driven nature was the main reason for learning and within a few weeks she experienced more effectiveness, clarity of mind and an enjoyable work-life balance.
Chris also enjoyed the benefits instantly as a construction manager, being able to manage time more efficiently and handle difficult, fast paced contractual situations in a more calm and efficient manner.
They are both currently teaching TM regularly for the next month and are running instruction courses to the general public, professionals, NGOs and companies in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
